Restoration & Conservation

We’ve several different skills under our work-belts, yet our most specialised area of expertise is stone restoration and stone conservation – an area we started laying the foundations of 50 years ago.    Keeping things close to home, we’ve worked on the stone restoration and stone conservation of most of the monumental and iconic Cambridge Colleges as well as countless churches and private dwellings featuring lime mortar.

Over the years, we’ve built up a reputation of our own and a reputation among other specialised firms and it’s through these close relationships that we’re able to draw on and compliment each and every project utilising the skills and experience gained to achieve the outstanding results we and our clients expect.

During our 125+ years of trading, we have been involved with the stone restoration and stone conservation of countless prestigious historic buildings. Yet the most notable in our portfolio include many of the Cambridge colleges, churches, cathedrals and National Trust properties.

Here at Hibbitt Masonry we take on projects large and small as Principle Contractor, our managers are SMSTS accredited and our site foremen are SSSTS accredited. We are however also very happy to carry out work as Sub Contractor.

We have also won National awards for our work on:-

St Edmund or St James Church, Blunham
All Saints Church, Clifton
St Johns College – Chapel, Cambridge
The Tower Restoration at St George of England Church, Toddington
The Gothic Tower, Wimpole, Cambridge

Please send us your Principle contractor/Sub contractor enquiry/tender, we will be more than happy to help.
